Hi, I’m Rinke Claeys, a primary education student from Belgium, about to graduate. This term, I’ll begin my internship, where I look forward to gaining more practical classroom experience and applying my teaching skills at Barlavento International Primary School. I have had many great internships as a primary school teacher in Belgium and I’m happy to be joining the Barlavento team.
In addition to teaching, I’m also a surf coach at my local surf club and spend my summers in France, giving surf lessons to kids. When I’m not busy with school or lesson planning, you’ll likely find me surfing and enjoying the ocean whenever possible.
My native language is Dutch, but I also speak English and some French. I’m excited about what the future holds, both in teaching and in life!
