I am the Year 1 and 2 teacher, having been a teacher at this school for more than 30 years specialising in Foundation Stage and Key Stage One. I obtained my Primary school Teaching Degree in Belgium and came to Portugal in 1981. I speak English, Dutch, Portuguese and French.
I am very excited to be part of the school team. I love my job and I get a great sense of achievement from seeing my students develop and grow as individuals, as well as having lots of fun on the way! I always try to integrate music and creative activities into other core subjects to make the learning experience more exciting. I strive to provide a positive and safe environment and nurture each student´s love of learning. I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. I will always assist my pupils to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are, as well as embrace their differences.
