Hello! My name is Gabrielle, and I am delighted to be part of the Barlavento International Primary School team as a Teaching Assistant working across all classes.
Originally from the UK, I have been living and working in Portugal for the past six years. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of international schools and nature-based education projects, experiences which have deepened my passion for supporting children’s development and learning.
I am committed to helping children grow, explore, and reach their full potential in a nurturing environment that encourages imagination, creativity, and connection. My personal interests include arts and photography, organic gardening, creative writing, and music, which I look forward to sharing with the children while continuing to learn from my colleagues and develop further in the field of education.
Outside of school, I enjoy practising Portuguese, teaching English, playing guitar, painting, and working with ceramics and pottery. I also have a keen interest in psychology and botany.
I am truly excited for the year ahead and look forward to working with the wonderful Barlavento School community.
